Frequently asked questions

Find helpful details about session formats, what to expect, and how to begin your therapy or supervision journey in Mullumbimby.

What can I expect in our first session?

Our initial session is firstly designed to get to know each other and see whether we are a good fit, mainly for you. We will  talk about what brings you to therapy, explore your current challenges, and outline your hopes and goals for our work together. I will ask you some questions about circumstances relevant to your issue and your history.

We usually spend 20-30 minutes on this before starting to approach what you want to work on. At the end of the session I will suggest to you the frequency and amount of  sessions I think would be ideal and we can discuss the approaches  that I think would be most helpful to you.

How long are sessions and how frequently do we meet?

Individual therapy sessions typically run for 60 minutes, while I allow 75 min for couples counselling  sessions to ensure ample time for both partners. Most clients begin with weekly or fortnightly appointments to establish momentum, adjusting frequency as you progress.

Do you offer online sessions as well as in-person therapy?

Yes, in-person sessions are held at our practice in Mullumbimby, and secure online video consultations are available for clients across Australia who prefer or require remote support.

What is clinical supervision and who is it for?

Clinical supervision is dedicated professional mentorship for therapists, counsellors, and practitioners. Sessions provide an accredited, reflective space to discuss complex case presentations, navigate ethical considerations, prevent burnout, and support your ongoing professional development.

How do I book an appointment?

You can book directly by one of the booking buttons which give you my phone number or text  or WhatsApp me on 0403730304.

Experience profound and positive change
